On the Ground China

I'm Emily, based in Shanghai. I go into factories with you, for robotics and AI hardware buyers.

Take the survey

Is your factory really a factory?

You found a supplier near Shanghai. Before you order samples or place a first order, you want to see it for yourself. I go with you, ask the questions on your list in Chinese, and write down what they actually say.

What I check

  • Real factory or trading company (license, address, live production line)
  • Capacity and lead times
  • Price, MOQ, sample cost, payment terms
  • Spec sheets and certificates (I record what they show; I don't judge if they're real)
  • How well their contact person communicates
  • Photos, with their permission

How it works

  1. A 30-minute video call. We turn your concerns into a checklist of up to 10 questions.
  2. I contact the factories in Chinese and plan the day, up to 2 factories.
  3. On the day, I go in with you, translate, and go through the list.
  4. Within 48 hours you get an English report: answers to each question, photos, their own words, and a red/yellow/green summary.

Fixed fee. No kickbacks.

You pay me a flat fee, and I put in writing that I take nothing from factories. I tell you what I see. You make the call.

Price

$399 a day, up to 2 factories. Shanghai, Suzhou and Kunshan. Hangzhou or Ningbo: +$100 a day.
